Want your writing featured? Submit it to us for a chance to get featured on the homepage.

Tell the Web is your human blog. We're building a collection of authentic, personal writing. We invite you to contribute to this project by writing about something meaningful to you, be it a personal project, hobby or experience.

Will I still own my writing?

Yes. You'll retain full ownership of your writing. By submitting your work, you'll allow us to feature it on our website on the basis that you receive attribution. We'll license it under the same terms (as per Creative Commons BY-SA 4.0). Others (including us) will be permitted use your writing commercially, provided that you are always credited as the author.

Will I get paid?

Not at this time. We currently don't have the resources to pay contributors. In the future, we hope to offer authors a small token of appreciation for their work. That said, feel free to promote your own donation channels if applicable.

What's in it for me?

If you're seeking to share your ideas and/or contribute to a long-term project, or you simply enjoy writing, this may be a good opportunity for you to exercise your writing skills.

What can I write about?

We suggest that your writing reflects something you're passionate about. We invite you to discuss your personal projects and hobbies to share with others. We also encourage you to share your personal poetry or stories.

Can I promote my product or service?

Yes. If you have a publication of your own (like a personal blog), we welcome cross-posting content with attribution and links back to your site.

How long will my work be published for?

We don't intend on deleting your content after publication. However, we respect your right to request a removal, and will erase content if you wish. Otherwise, we'll regularly back up your work to ensure its long-term availability. No MTV-style erasure here!

How long will I be featured for?

Featured posts claim the top spot on the homepage for at least one month before removal. After removal, your post remains on your author page and in our yearly post index.

Can I use AI?

We aim to publish personal, authentic writing. Light use of AI for spelling and grammar is acceptable, but submissions should be primarily written by you.
